“I am proud to be delivering the landmark Ocean Reef Marina.
Back in 2017 I made a commitment to get this project moving - and I’ve done just that.”
- Emily Hamilton MLA
Emily Hamilton is delivering this significant State Government infrastructure, with Ocean Reef Marina works started.
Construction on the Ocean Reef Marina is making great progress.
Major milestones have been reached at Ocean Reef Marina, which is taking shape as a premier beachside tourism destination in WA.
This includes delivering new state-of-the-art facilities for Marine Rescue Whitfords, the Ocean Reef Sea Sports Club and the Joondalup City RSL Sub-branch.
The new community facilities were completed in late 2025.
The Ocean Reef Marina Community Open Day will mark the official opening of the exciting new community facilities at the Ocean Reef Marina.
These include the new Marina Cove Park, protected family beach equipped, the ocean-themed playground featuring Nippy the giant lobster, and Reef Runner the climbable shipwreck.
We will also see a new pump track, changerooms and toilets, and an array of public BBQs officially opened for our community to use and enjoy.
Perth's first ocean pool is due to open in 2028.
The world-class development is expected to provide a $3 billion injection into our local economy.
Our community has been excited about this project from the outset, participating in consultation and sharing their ideas.
